Chief's rug style is the earliest established weaving style
known to the Navajo, Three phases: first phase, simple horizontal
stripes of blue, white, black and brown: second phase, weavers
added short red bars to the design: third phase, most popular,
more elaborate, with stepped triangles. This pattern is a third
phase design.
The pattern is shown enlarged to make it easier to read. Because
of the length of this pattern I divided it into 3 sections. You
will see a colored star to indicate the bottom of each section.
There is no color key ncluded. This is a "Just Patterns"
item for beaders who want beautiful patterns at a reasonable
price.
