After many tries and lots of correspondence with some nice
Russian beaders I finally learned to make the leaves. It's really
not hard to do once you do a couple of rows. This is a variation
of Peyote stitch. It's fun to make some leaves and arrange them
to form different things. Two large leaves and two smaller ones
will make a butterfly. Group several leaves around a large center
bead for a flower. A short leaf can be rolled and a stamen added
to make a Calla Lily.
